Medicaid Waiver Info
CoastalCare is pleased to announce that it is approved to implement Medicaid 1915 (b) (c) Waiver functions beginning March 1, 2013!
CoastalCare hosted the North Carolina Division of Medical Assistance, North Carolina Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Substance Abuse Services, and Mercer Government Human Services Consulting on February 12, 2013 for another review of Medicaid 1915 (b) (c) Waiver implementation progress. CoastalCare will implement Medicaid 1915 (b) (c) Waiver functions for mental health, substance use disorder and intellectual and other developmental disability services on March 1, 2013. This is a major success and benefit for our community. CoastalCare will be able to maintain a local presence in an effort to improve access and quality, while promoting cost efficiences. A huge "thank you" is extended to the many partners that have worked very hard and helped throughout this process: consumers and families, providers, community partners, local officials, and dedicated colleagues, both internal and external to CoastalCare.
